A legendary composer is rightly celebrated with the release of this CD featuring a completely unreleased score! La faccia violenta di New York is a movie shot in 1973 by Jorge Darnell and starring Mimsy Farmer, Fernando Rey, Sergio Jiménez and Luigi Pistilli.
The score was composed by one of the greatest of Italian and international film music: Riz Ortolani. For this movie with an acrid flavor he wrote a symphonic score that highlights a romantic theme that is orchestrated in many guises from the main titles onward. Tension, dramatic moments and great melodies in the mix will keep you listening to this passionate score that runs for more than 40 minutes in glorious stereo. Surely a great test of ability for the popular composer and another confirmation of his immense talent.
The CD comes in a jewel case with a 12-page booklet. Mastering by Enrico De Gemini, liner notes by Fabio Babini, and graphic layout by Daniele De Gemini.
Limited edition of 500 copies!
