Hmmm, obviously the film inspired Mike Myers to do his Austin Powers' thing, but the music here from Traffic ("Low Spark of High Heeled Boys" and "Mr. Fantasy") and The Spencer Davis Group ("Gimme Some Lovin'" [a tune used in the Blues Brothers]) leaves me longing for a real score. The music is good as a whole with both bands fronted by Steve Winwood, stuff that if you lived as a teenager or twenty-something during the 1960's you'd really go for (my father said "ooh" when I showed him the CD), but it misses for most of the younger generation of listeners who are more apt to part with their money at the music store. I'm sure this isn't exactly an easy find at the video store (even after it's remastering by MGM the past year) so a true comparison for viewing/listening enjoyment may be difficult, but if you're a fan of either (or both) groups, add it to your collection, others, well a coaster may be more appropriate.
