From the Manufacturer

World premiere 2-CD release of massive Laurence Rosenthal soundtrack for epic MGM television mini-series with Barry Bostwick. Rosenthal offers magnificent score with abundance of period flavor, Americana melody, bright military splendor, exciting Revolutionary War action. Fanfare-theme for title character anchors but Rosenthal also plays two beautiful love themes, ideas for numerous iconic images & characters (Washington crossing the Delaware, Benedict Arnold, signing of Declaration of Independence, massive Battle of Monmouth, so forth). Generous 2-CD set prepared from composer's personal 1/4" (7 1/2 ips) mono tapes of full recording sessions plus surviving 1/4" (15 i.p.s.) mono session masters stored in MGM vaults. Joe Sikoryak & composer provide notes on project, scoring. Laurence Rosenthal conducts.
