Biography

As a composer and songwriter, Jill Wisoff most recently scored Tony Garcia’s 2001 Clio and AICP award winning commercial GOTCHA...featuring an orchestrated fifties tv theme, the copywriter was Lisa Plettinck; SMART HOUSE , the Disney Channel feature directed by LeVar Burton with producer Alan Sacks, includes scoring and the feature song co-written with Joel Diamond and Barry Goldberg..."The House is Jumping" was released on a Disney compilation album; WOMAN FOUND DEAD IN ELEVATOR stars George Plimpton and tony award winner (Wit) Kathleen Chalfant. Executively produced by William Kennedy, it was directed by Adam Goldstein; Jill scored Lisa Plettinck’s independent film, SPLINTER which garnered praise for Ms. Wisoff’s score and Ms. Plettinck’s work in the L.A. Times while on the festival circuit; SECOND SKIN , by filmmaker Amy Talkington, won Best Director award at the 1998 New Works Festival and was included in the 1999 Sundance Film Festival; Carnie Wilson contributed vocals on Jill’s score in the directorial television debut of Melissa Gilbert with ME AND MY HORMONES, an after-school special produced by Alan Sacks; WELCOME TO THE DOLLHOUSE, the groundbreaking independent film by Todd Solondz, won Best of Festival at the 1996 Sundance Film Festival; Dee D. Bache’s THE DOORMAN, a sardonic look at the New York club scene, gleaned notoreity as an “underground” film (available for viewing through Kim’s video).
