Lionsgate (NYSE: LGF) Records is proud to announce today's release of The Expendables 2: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack, with music by Brian Tyler. The Expendables are back for a bigger and badder installment of the box office smash hit, and renowned composer Brian Tyler again does them proud with a pulse-pounding score. The star-studded film hits theatres August 17th, 2012, and the album will be available exclusively through iTunes today, Tuesday, August 14th, 2012.
Tyler describes his experience composing for the film, "I'm so thrilled to continue the musical journey I started on the first chapter of The Expendables. Back with a vengeance, The Expendables 2 called for an epic approach to the music to complement the narrative. Combining world percussion and dark electronic elements with an orchestral landscape allowed me to capture the essence of the renegade expendables spirit."
