American-Israeli composer and musician Lior Ron scores Shoreline Entertainment's newly released documentary film, Pablo directed by Richard Goldgewicht. Pablo is an animated biography blended with motion design and documentary footage that tells the extraordinary saga of 'famous unknown' film artist Pablo Ferro, who created the iconic opening titles and montage sequences for numerous classic films (Dr. Strangelove, Bullitt, The Thomas Crown Affair, Midnight Cowboy, A Clockwork Orange, Beetlejuice, L.A. Confidential, Philadelphia). Narrated by Jeff Bridges and featuring appearances from Anjelica Huston, Andy Garcia, Stan Lee, Jon Voight, Leonard Maltin, and many more of his friends and collaborators, Pablo is a celebration of Pablo Ferro's magic and creative spirit, which ultimately triumphs after a tragic-comic rollercoaster life story. Hailed by Screen Daily as "A must for any lover of cinema," Pablo premiered at the International Film Festival Rotterdam and is now available on DVD and VOD.

Reflecting Pablo's journey from pre-revolution in Cuba, to swinging New York City in the '60s to the New Hollywood in the '70s, to present day, composer Lior Ron crafted a unique score fusing Latin, Jazz and Classical music recorded with an intimate five-piece ensemble. Director Richard Goldgewicht, commented, "Lior Ron is a composer with great story sense and a broad palette that spans from Jazz, Electronic, Latin and mysterious Balkan and Middle-Eastern undertones. He's always surprising." A classically trained trumpet player and accomplished live performer, Lior plays trumpet on the score. Pablo Original Motion Picture Soundtrack is available digitally on iTunes.

"We explored several different musical directions for the score," said Lior. "A term we kept playing around with was 'The Sad Clown.' I kept that in the back of my mind throughout the entire process. I wanted the score to be acoustic and emotional. I knew that I wanted to record a small acoustic ensemble, and that my trumpet would be the lead storyteller." The scoring sessions took place in Lior's native Israel but he composed, mixed and produced the score at his studio in Los Angeles. "The score has lots of exotic/ethnic flavors to it and it was important for me to record musicians that have those qualities in their playing," Lior continues. "I recorded with some incredible musicians in Tel-Aviv, since I had performed and recorded with major artists when I lived there, and I knew exactly who I wanted to have for these sessions."

Born in Israel, Lior started playing trumpet at the age of 6. By age 16, he was the principal trumpet player and soloist for the Israeli National Youth Orchestra, touring worldwide. He then served three years as a principal trumpet player and soloist for the Israel Defense Force Orchestra. Lior has also performed and recorded with some of the biggest artists in the Israeli music market, including Tomer Yosef (Balkan Beat Box), Aviv Geffen (Blackfield), The Tonight Show Band (Israeli TV), American Idol (Israeli TV) and more. In 2008, he relocated to Los Angeles to score films, television and trailers.

Lior Ron's music can also be heard in feature films such as Chronicle and Road To Juarez as well as worldwide trailers for Salmon Fishing In The Yemen, Seeking A Friend For The End Of The World, and Forza Motorsport 5, the first trailer released for Microsoft's Xbox One. As a classically trained trumpet player he has performed and recorded with dozens of artists, including multiple gold and platinum albums, television appearances and film scores.
