Composer Peter Bernstein, film director John Landis, composer Bear McCreary, and agent Richard Kraft will join the Golden State Pops Orchestra for the "Great Composer Tribute: Music of Elmer Bernstein" on February 15, 2014 at the Warner Grand Theatre in San Pedro, beginning at 8:00pm.

Peter Bernstein has worked on many projects as a composer including The Ewok Adventure, Stargate SG-1, and 21 Jump Street and with his father, Elmer Bernstein, on Three Amigos!, Ghostbusters, Trading Places and Michael Jackson's Thriller, to name a few. Peter Bernstein will be conducting the World Premiere of a Comedy Suite that includes Animal House, Ghostbusters, Trading Places, Stripes, Airplane!, Three Amigos!, and Spies Like Us. The suite could not have been created without the kind support of the Elmer Bernstein Estate."

Film Director John Landis (Three Amigos!, Animal House, Michael Jackson's Thriller) will be joining as a guest speaker. Elmer wrote the scores to multiple films by John, many with Peter Bernstein as orchestrator. John Landis is an American film director, screenwriter, actor, and producer. He is well known for National Lampoon's Animal House, Michael Jackson's music video Thriller, The Blues Brothers, Trading Places, Three Amigos! and An American Werewolf in London.

Bear McCreary will be a guest speaker and accordionist on To Kill A Mockingbird. Bear was one of Bernstein's select protégés, and learned the tools of the trade working with and orchestrating for the maestro. Bear is most known for his television work on shows such as Battlestar Galactica, The Walking Dead, Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Da Vinci's Demons, which earned him his first Emmy Award and Black Sails. io9.com ranked McCreary one of the Ten Best Science Fiction Composers of All Time, and recently WIRED Magazine declared him one of only five "Secret Weapons" of the television industry.
