Disney's The Lion King, with it's epic-selling soundtrack featuring the music of Hans Zimmer and Elton John, has lost it's record for consecutive weeks atop Billboard's rankings for an animated film soundtrack. From 1994 to 1995 The Lion King spent 10 weeks on top of the charts.

Nielsen has reported that Disney's Frozen has just broken that record with it's 11th week on top, with an accumulated sales total of a stunning 2.3 million copies.

Walt Disney Records released Frozen and Frozen: Deluxe Edition, featuring the score of Christophe Beck and songs by Robert and Kristen Anderson-Lopez, last November on CD and in a digital format.
