No movies are opening nationwide this weekend, as is typical post-Thanksgiving weekend. Among the limited openings this week are (with music by): The Shape of Water (Alexandre Desplat and The Disaster Artist (Dave Porter).

- Cliff Eidelman (Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country, He's Just Not That Into You) is turning 53 on December 5.
- Joe Hisaishi (Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke) is turning 67 on Wednesday, December 6.
