From the Manufacturer

One of the many folds of Italian cinema is finally uncovered, and out of it came an unexpected score composed by popular Roman composer Franco Micalizzi for an '80s Italian comedy: Rimini, Rimini un anno dopo, the sequel of the more famous Rimini Rimini.

The movie is in the "summer adventures at the seaside" genre, very much in fashion in that period, and from the musical point of view exploits the pop era of that decade and is full of fashionable '80s-style tunes. In this beautiful score you'll find the echo, not that far, of Cindy Lauper, Samantha Fox, Madonna, and also (why not?) the modern compositional style of scores such as Beverly Hills Cop or, to some extent, Top Gun, all reduced to a lighter level considering the tone of the movie.

A nice discovery, and surely a must for '80s pop music and for the fans of Maestro Franco Micalizzi. This score will show you the great histrionic character of the art of the composer!

The CD is limited to 500 copies and comes in a jewel case with a 12-page booklet. Mastering by Franco Micalizzi and Enrico De Gemini, liner notes by John Mansell and graphic layout by Daniele De Gemini.
