World premiere release of original soundtrack from intense, gory Philippe Mora horror movie with Ronny Cox, Bibi Besch, Paul Clemens. Horror score veteran Les Baxter contributes vivid, graphic score late in career, emphasizes terror, thrills with abundance of dissonant brass, wild strings. Bookending horror is melodic, tonal opening & closing theme (neither are used in film, both are heard here for first time.)

Presented in stereo from complete (albeit slow-speed & somewhat noisy) tape masters courtesy MGM. Liner notes by Dan Schweiger. Les Baxter conducts. Intrada Special Collection release limited to 1000 copies!
