Howard Shore has confirmed with that he will indeed be scoring the Lord of the Rings trilogy of films for Peter Jackson and New Line Cinema. SoundtrackNet broke the news that Shore might have been attached to the film back in July, and since then the flurry of rumors and gossip has been non-stop. But with a few websites confirming with Shore himself, it is now safe to say that it is most likely no longer a rumor.
