Varèse Sarabande will release the soundtrack for xXx: Return of Xander Cage digitally on January 27 and on CD February 17, 2017. The film features original music composed by Brian Tyler (Avengers: Age of Ultron, Furious 7) and Robert Lydecker (Designated Survivor, TV's Sleepy Hollow).
"xXx: Return of Xander Cage is a wild movie and it needed a score to reflect the vibe that Xander Cage and his team has: attitude, skill, and a sense of humor about oneself." said Tyler. "The music features an amazing orchestra which captures the emotion and epic qualities while the rock elements of the score reflect his hardcore attitude of the entire team in the film."
"The director [DJ Caruso] and I have worked together on many films and each one has been so different!" Tyler explained. "We set out to tackle this score like we always do which is starting with the tone. And we felt that this needed to feel epic, global, and fun at the same time. It was awesome working with him once again!"
