Producer Kathleen Kennedy just announced that composer John Williams has committed to scoring Star Wars Episodes VII, VIII, and IX. In a video announcement broadcast at Celebration Europe in Essen, Germany, Mr. Williams stated, "I look forward to returning to a galaxy far, far away." In an amusing understatement, he went on to say, "I hope I can contribute something in the new films that will be worthy of your continued attention."

Star Wars: Episode VII is anticipated to be released in 2015 and is directed by J.J. Abrams. Release years for the following two episodes have not been announced yet.
