The Úbeda Film Music Conference is truly an international celebration of film music - while only a few composers visit each summer, many other composers contribute to the Úbeda Spirit.  Returning to Úbeda for a second year and bearing gifts and prizes from the many composers on Varèse Sarabande Records is highly respected soundtrack producer Robert Townson, fresh off the release of his 850th CD!

Robert Townson\'s 500th album was celebrated in the spring of 2001 with the release of a career retrospective 2-CD set that chronicled some of his own favorite recordings. It was appropriately called In Session: A Film Music Celebration and featured an extensive essay where Townson discusses his career and recalls selected anecdotes from his many recording sessions.  2003 marked Varèse Sarabande Records\' 25th anniversary and, to commemorate this, he produced a pair of acclaimed 4-CD sets titled Varèse Sarabande: A 25th Anniversary Celebration, together offering over ten hours of music and featuring themes from over 150 films.

With his 500th CD already 350 CDs behind him, Robert Townson remains the most prolific producer of soundtrack albums in the world.

The first 300 registrants to the conference will be offered a set of complimentary CDs generously donated by Varèse Sarabande: one by John Debney, one by David Arnold and one by John Powell. About the International Film Music Conference

The Third Annual International Film Music Conference will be celebrated in the City of Úbeda, Spain from July 19-22, 2007.

Organized by The BSOSpirit Society, it has the support of the City Hall of Úbeda and other sponsors.  To this date, the symposium has become one of the most memorable gatherings for film music enthusiasts around the world.

As with the previous years, hundreds of fans, composers and journalists are expected to gather in Úbeda this summer to enjoy the many panel discussions scheduled, as well as the highlight symphonic concert of film music selections.
