The Society of Composers and Lyricists presents an evening seminar, "The Virtuoso Soloist in Film Music," featuring America's young violin virtuoso, Joshua Bell. This informative seminar will be held on Thursday, September 21, 2000 at 7:00 pm at the Twentieth Century Fox, Newman Scoring Stage.

From the days of Max Steiner to the present, film composers have sought out instrumental soloists to enhance and personalize the emotional impact of film scores. Join us for a panel discussion with: Joshua Bell, violinist featured on the Academy Award winning score to the "Red Violin," Ralph Grierson, noted pianist on "Fantasia 2000," "ET The Extraterrestrial" and "Field of Dreams" and Eric Rigler, master of the Irish bagpipes and featured performer on "Titanic" and "Braveheart".
