ENNIO MORRICONE When Women Had Tails CAM 495375 (Italy) 14.99 -Also: When Women Lost Their Tails (Nicolai)- (45:18) 1970 caveman comedy with Senta Berger sports funny, upbeat - and very tuneful - music (30:34). Reissue of very rare LP also contains WHEN WOMEN LOST THEIR TAILS by Bruno Nicolai, a 1972 sequel score (14:42), similar with slightly dryer, less tuneful music. Includes the entire 16-minute score alone plus a segment of the soundtrack with dialog. Rousing, sweeping stuff. Poledouris fashioned all-new music using a snippet of his original theme as a launching pad. Recorded with the London Studio Symphony Orchestra, the results are spectacular.
