New York, NY, December 7, 2000…Pacific Time Entertainment, the leading entertainment concern for film scores, is pleased to announce the upcoming soundtrack release from the featured motion picture Shadow of the Vampire. Composed by Dan Jones, the film will be released in select theatres on
December 29, 2000, with a nationwide rollout in January 2001.

Shadow of the Vampire, starring John Malkovich and Willem Dafoe, is a film about the making of a German all time classic silent horror-movie from 1922 called Nosferatu-Eine Symphonie des Grauens (Nosferatu-a Symphony of Horror). The production of Nosferatu had to deal with strange and unique occurrences like disappearing crew members, some of whom were found dead.  This film examines the making of the film and the difficult relationship between Murnau, the director, (played by Malkovich), and Schreck, the lead actor, (played by Dafoe).

Pacific Time Entertainment’s President, Curtis Urbina says, “We are very excited about this release.  Both the score and the film have already achieved critical success and we are excited for the world to see and hear this masterpiece. Composer and Conductor Dan Jones along with the BBC
Orchestra of Wales have done a wonderful score to complement the film. This is one of the most extraordinarily beautiful American film music scores in years and we are honored to be releasing it on the Pacific Time Entertainment label."
