The Film Music Network, sponsored by Film Music magazine, presents Film Music Network Nights, a monthly networking series for professionals in the film music business in Los Angeles and New York City. LOS ANGELES MEETING - FEBRUARY 1, 1999 Los Angeles events take place the first Monday of every month at 7:00pm (doors open at 6:30pm) at the Beverly Garland Holiday Inn, 4222 Vineland Avenue, Studio City, CA and feature guest speakers who focus on specific issues and challenges in the film music business. After these brief presentations, attendees are encouraged to network. Admission is $15, memberships are available. The guest speaker for the LA event on Monday, February 1, 1999 is: Composer WILLIAM ROSS, who has composed scores for "Tin Cup", "Evening Star", and the recent Imax film "T-Rex", will discuss life in the film music business. Ross has also worked as an orchestrator for films including Forrest Gump and The Bodyguard.
