The Flanders Film Festival will be organising on Thursday 20 October 2005 "Polish Composers in Concert", a concert with film music by renowned Polish composers.

The guest of honour is Zbigniew Preisner, of Trois Couleurs Bleu, Blanc and Rouge. Another prestigious invitee is Jan Kaczmarek, the winner of the Oscar in 2005 (Best Score for Finding Neverland). Wojciech Kilar is famous for his work on Francis Ford Coppola's Dracula, among other films.

This undoubtedly revealing concert will take place in the Flemish Opera of Ghent. In the first part, a special suite with film images is being written. The second part of the concert consists of a tribute to Zbigniew Preisner. With Elzbieta Towarnicka (soprano), Leszek Mozdzer (piano) and Jacek Ostaszewski (recorder), the best soloists of Poland will be contributing to the concert. The National Orchestra of Belgium will be conducted by Dirk Brossé and Krzysztof Herdzin.
