“Visine,” the first track on P.J. Olsson’s new album Beautifully Insane (September 27/Brash Music) will have a starring role in an upcoming indie film Nice Guys. The homage to hemp is a perfect fit with the movie, which will follow the stoner antics of aspiring filmmakers in Hollywood trying to find “creative financing” for a movie.

Nice Guys stars Jason Mewes, who played the infamous stoner Jay in the Kevin Smith movie catalogue, as well as Edward Furlong, David Faustino, Corin Nemec, Jason Marsden, Lacey Chabert, Danny Trejo, Robert Rodriguez, Rachel Bella, Andy Dick, Diamond Dallas Page, and Michael DeLorenzo.

“It was one of those situations where someone handed me a CD and I just fell in love with the song as soon as I heard it,” said Nice Guys Director Joe Eckardt. “I’ve been editing with it for the last few months and I love it. I’m even considering using it for the trailer.”

The movie should be completed by the end of September 2005, the same time P.J. Olsson’s Beautifully Insane will be released nationwide on Brash Music. Nice Guys was made by The Film Emporium:A Motion Picture Company and Trejo 4.0 Pictures.
