Academy Award-winning director Robert Wise has died of heart failure in Los Angeles, at the age of 91. Wise was best known for directing such popular films as The Day the Earth Stood Still, West Side Story, The Andromeda Strain, The Sound of Music and Star Trek: The Motion Picture, among many others. He was also the editor on Orson Welles\' immortal classic, Citizen Kane.
