For the first time, the France Musique – UCMF music prizes were awarded on may 21th during the 2006 International Cannes Festival.
“The France Musique prize for best musical score” was awarded to :
Alberto Iglesias for THE CONSTANT GARDENER (directed by Fernando Meirelles)
“The best UCMF original soundtrack prize” was awarded to :
Johan Soderqvist for BROTHERS (directed by Susanne Bier).
