On Friday, August 4th, Game Composer Cris Velasco will be part of a panel called "Music for Games: A New World of Opportunity for Composers" at "The Composer Expo," a special event presented by Turner Classic Movies and Film Music Magazine. The day-long event takes place at The Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel in Los Angeles and brings together the best and brightest composers and other industry professionals to focus on the state of the art, craft, technology and business of instrumental music for film, television and video games.

The "Music for Games" panel consists of A-list video game composers who will discuss the art, craft and technology of video game scoring, with a special focus on how composers can build careers in the world of music for video games.

In addition to Velasco, who has scored for the award-winning God of War, Spy Hunter: Nowhere to Run, Splinter Cell 4, Hellgate: London and Marvel Ultimate Alliance titles, game composers Bill Brown, Lennie Moore, and Garry Schyman will also participate.

The panel is scheduled from 2:15 - 3:30 p.m. in the Academy Room at The Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel.
