Massimo Gallotta Productions is proud to present Morricone in Concert, an exclusive evening of music with legendary Italian film composer Ennio Morricone, at Radio City Music Hall in New York on February 3, 2007. This is the first and only US concert to be performed by the 78 year-old maestro. Tickets to the concert will go on sale on Friday, October 20, 2006.

For this unprecedented US concert appearance, Mr. Morricone will conduct a 200-piece orchestra and choir through a repertoire drawn from his numerous well-known film scores. The concert will be telecast live internationally and will be recorded for DVD release.

Ennio Morricone is the internationally celebrated composer of over 400 film scores during a 45-year career. The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, The Mission, Once Upon a Time in America, The Untouchables, and Cinema Paradiso are but a few examples of his outstanding work. The Good, the Bad and the Ugly remains the most recognized score ever associated with the ‘spaghetti western\' film genre.

Morricone is also known for his highly successful creative partnerships with film directors Sergio Leone, Bernardo Bertolucci, Gillo Pontecorvo and Guiliano Montaldo, among others. He is the recipient of five Academy Award nominations and has won dozens of prestigious international awards for his work.

Especially revered by his fellow musicians, Morricone is constantly being discovered by new admirers. Sting, John Zorn, Bruce Springsteen, Yo-Yo Ma, Elton John, Metallica and Morrissey represent a handful of the many artists who have recorded Morricone\'s music. Morricone\'s resonance with popular culture continues to be so great that shock jocks Opie and Anthony open their XM Satellite Radio and CBS Radio shows with his composition "Ecstasy of Gold".

No previous concert promoter has been successful in bringing Ennio Morricone to perform in North America. Massimo Gallotta brings his unique background as a 30-year entertainment business veteran to produce this extraordinary event. Gallotta has earned notoriety for his international concert productions with artists such as Ray Charles, Gilbert Becaud, Dionne Warwick, Caetano Veloso, Renzo Arbore, and Gianni Morandi, among others. He is known for showcasing artists in spectacular settings such as the 1991 concert he produced with Frank Sinatra in the amphitheatre of the Archaeological Area of Pompeii, Italy. For Gallotta, the concert represents an exceptional moment in American-Italian relations, "Mr. Morricone appearance here in the United States is a monumental event", he says. "Morricone\'s first time appearance here in NYC will mark the important musical as well as cultural exchange between Italy and the United States. I feel that Morricone\'s presence in the United States is a testimony to the deep feeling of affection and respect between Italy and America."
