Opening in theaters nationwide this week are (with music by): The Boy and the Heron (Joe Hisaishi) and Love Actually (20th Anniversary Re-Release) (Craig Armstrong). Expanding nationwide from its limited release last week is Eileen (Richard Reed Parry).

- Tom Holkenborg (Mad Max: Fury Road, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice) is turning 56 today.
- Paul Haslinger (Underworld, Crank) is turning 61 on Monday, December 11.
- Rachel Portman (Emma, The Cider House Rules) is turning 63 on December 11.
- Jon Brion (Magnolia, Lady Bird) is turning 60 on December 11.
- Harry Gregson-Williams (The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, The Martian) is turning 62 on Wednesday, December 13.
- Jon Ekstrand (Life, Morbius) is turning 47 on Thursday, December 14.
